We love mountain biking and we really enjoy the ride quality of a well-made 29er. So we turned to Chris King and Jay SyCip for their design and creative direction in building an agile handling cross-country steel hardtail. Chris is a Mountain Bike Hall of Fame inductee with mountain bike designs dating back to the origins of the sport while Jay has a decade of 29er fabrication to his credit. The result of their collaboration is once again, classically modern.
Each Cielo 29er frame is hand made in Portland, Oregon of True Temper OX Platinum and shares many of the custom-quality features found on our Sportif and Cross framesets. Details such as our stainless steel engraved seatstay caps and head tube reinforcement rings come from Chris King Precision Components. Also included with each frame is a Chris King sealed bearing InSet headset. We use Paragon Machine Works sliding dropouts for their outstanding quality and for the options of riding this frame geared or singlespeed.
